Since last yarn purchase

It has been 3 months since I bought yarn.
I have a little ticker over at my Delphi forums. I can't believe I went that long.
Shows you what happens when you do not have the time or money to shop.
I've been using stash so I haven't stopped knitting.

So now I know what degree to get.

You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)

You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.
You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

Christmas Knitting

I said I wasn't going to knit for Christmas. I'm knitting for Christmas.
I'm making a pair of Irish Hiking Mitts. I knit one last night and I'll knit the other one tonight.
Then I'll just go back and see what I can finish from my unfinished pile.

RENT

We went and saw the movie RENT last night. We all enjoyed it. I prefered the play, the movie did add on things that weren't in the play.
I think I want to go see the play again.
Finished my Norweigen mittens. They look great. I will wash them today and take a picture.
Now to decide what to knit next. I'll pull out some of my half finished projects and see what strikes my fancy.
It has been over 2 monthes since I bought yarn. Unbelievable.

Mittens

I'm making the Norwegian Mittens from Elizabeth Zimmerman.
I am using Knitpicks Elegance. They are very soft. I've ripped them out twice already. The second time I was up to row 31. The thumb part just didn't look right. I keep thinking I was suppose to be doing something else. Like put the thumb in a different spot. So I've ripped them out and I will start all over again. If I ever get them finished, they will be beautiful.

I hated to do this, but I must.
I don't get many comments as it is, but it was anoying to have comments that were spam.
Sorry if this stops people from commenting. Most of you know how to get ahold of me, so you can leave comments else where.

Knitting

I think I finally figured out 2 socks on 2 circs. Boy was it rough going for awhile. I actually thought I found a knitting technique I couldn't do. It had me so frustrated. It isn't second nature that is for sure, but at least I am doing it.
I won some Opal yarn. I can't wait for it to arrive. LOL

Average American

According to the description on npr's website, writer Kevin O'Keefe set out to find the "most-average" American two or three years ago. He talked to magicians in Maryland and cattle farmers in Kansas, among others, then ended up in his hometown in Connecticut. The result, The Average American: The Extraordinary Search for the Nation's Most Ordinary Citizen, concludes that the following are true for a majority of Americans. Like other bloggers who have included this list on their sites (dustbury and absinthe & cookies among others),

- Eats peanut butter at least once a week (I only eat peanut butter ocasionaly).
- Prefers smooth peanut butter over chunky (I like both equaly)
- Can name all Three Stooges (Larry, Curley and Moe
- Lives within a 20-minute drive of a Wal-Mart (Thankfully I don't, I've also never been inside of one).
- Eats at McDonald's at least once a year.(I gave up fast food years ago)
- Takes a shower for approximately 10.4 minutes a day (I've never times myself).
- Never sings in the shower (Never)
- Lives in a house, not an apartment or condominium (and I really love mine)
- Has a home valued between $100,000 and $300,000 (The dumps around here are going for over $700,000. Sadly I don't own one of those dumps).
- Has fired a gun (Sadly yes).
- Is between 5 feet and 6 feet tall (True).
- Weighs 135 to 205 pounds (True).
- Is between the ages of 18 and 53 (True).
- Believes gambling is an acceptable entertainment option (nope)
- Grew up within 50 miles of current home (5 miles).
Now it's your turn.

Is this true?

Your Hair Should Be Orange

You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

Interesting Thoughts

One comment about my last post was that I have interesting thoughts. I've never been told that. I'm usually told I ramble.
I just noticed that I seem to be posting on Saturday's.
At least I'm doing something.
I will not have a comment about what is going on in DC.
I don't want to start WWIII. Oh, wait. Somebody already did that.
I have gone 1 month 1 week and 2 days without buying yarn. Not having time to go shopping really helps.
Since I didn't finish my knit 10 items before you buy more yarn challenge, I think I'll start a list of items I want to start and finish in the new year.
Next week I am going to attempt to learn to knit 2 socks on 2 circular needles. Everyone says it will cure the Second Sock Syndrome. So how am I going to do this project? I'm going to knit two socks out of two differnt balls of yarn. That means I will end up with 2 single sock. I can never make things simple, can I? LOL

"Dympna needs"

You know how they say to do go to Google and put in "your name needs". I did. I got no hits.
When I didn't use the quotation marks the first hit was for a BBC show.
Then people who are very successful.
I guess I am not sucessful. LOL

Another weekend.

I made it home without problem last weekend. Mainly because the rain stopped before 7am and I stayed at work until 3;30pm. I am tired of being understaffed and calling people at 5am. I see no let down in the future. So I guess I will just have to get use to it.
I do not work this weekend. That is a nice feeling. Got my hair done today. I need to fall asleep. Wonder when that will happen.
Have no plans for the weekend yet.

Weekend

The rain has started. Way to early for me. I am at work without a jacket or umbrella. I need to walk a mile to the train. I guess I'll have to ask for a ride to the train.
Finished an Irish Hiking Scarf. It looks wonderful a lovely tourquoise color and as long as I could make it without getting sick of it.
I'm still working on Brian's Sweater. I have got to sit down and finish it.
Making myself a nice shawl. I will take my time with it. I don't want to get sick of it before I finish.
Should probably think about Christmas gifts.

Or maybe I dreamed I had another post. You know I can never tell when I do these things. Lovely weather that past few days. Nice to see the sun for a change.

Monday

We've had a busy start to our week. Brian had his first day in high school He went by himself on the bus. Wouldn't' let any of us go with him. He said the day went well. Of course kids never tell you anything.
Heather got her wisdom teeth out today. She is sitting on the couch getting waited on. That is they way she likes to be treated.
I'm off this week. Will probably go up to my mothers on Friday. I hope to get Brian's sweater finished this week. Then I can work on my shawl.

Sept 11, 2005

4 years later. Makes you think.
I am consumed with the sadness and loss of life from The Gulf Coast.
I contributed my money like everyone else. The kids and I will get our used clothes thogether and call up the Salvation Army.
At this point in my life it is all I can do.
I am very happy for my little life. Even if it does anoy me from time to time.
I will also update our disaster supplies. Then try to figure out how I would be able to get myself and my kids out of the city if we had to.
I do not drive and do not have a car, so I guess the kids and I better learn how to walk with a pack on our backs.
My biggest fear is that I will be at work. I work on the other side of the Bay. On a normal day it takes me 90 minutes to get home.
I guess we need to sit down and plan out what we will do in the event of a disaster and we can't make it home.

September already?

I can't belive that summer is already over. San Francisco hasn't seen much sun as usual. This is suppose to be the start of our good weather. We did have a few nice days last week, but the past few days have been foggy.
I am waiting for the sun and they tell us we may have an early autumn. I don't want that. I want an Indian Summer.
Still trying to knit Brian's sweater. Started a shawl. I should wait until Brian's sweater is finished, but I didn't.

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Another month

I can't not keep up with time.
I still haven't posted my vacation pictures. I"m still knitting but I'm not finishing anything. I just go from one project to the other. Spend time on things I don't have to think about.
Yet time still passes.

Life

Terrible how quickly life takes over your life.
I am slowly getting my pictures developed and put on disk. They came out great. Hope to have my vaction esay up sometime this week with pictures.
Oh and I've been blog spammed. First time.
Don't these people have anything better to do?

What I did on my summer vacation

I'm back. Also back at work. First time I came home from vacation and went to work. I can do it.
So when I get the chance I will write more about vacation.
My digital camera broke so I had to buy disposable cameras. I will get the pictures on CD's and then I can post them here.
We all had a great time and are glad to be home in the fog.
Did I tell you guys Stephanie will be in Berkeley tomorrow night. I am unable to go. Boo Hoo. I am so jealous of those that can go.
Oh well another time.

Wednesday

New roof on the house. Yea.
I just did some cleaning and hanging out on the computer. Not very productive.
I have been having a hard time knitting. I may try it tonight while I am watching TV.
I've been reading blogs lately that show that I am really out of touch with what is going on in the world. I thought I read a lot. I guess I need to pay more attention.

Sunday, July 17, 2005

Another Week

I tried to knit on Heather's sock last week. I think I finished 2 rounds and then put it down.
I have yarn to make a BSJ. I'll take that to work tonight and see If I can make one. There are a few babies at work and it would be nice to make some sweaters for them.
I don't think I'll go up to my mother's this week. I think I need to get healthy and this traveling between the fog and heat isn't helping me.
Then the landlord stopped by they want to put the new roof on this week. I think I need to be home for that.
So hopefully I can get some much needed rest this week.

Life as I know it

I've had a cold. It has been unbearably hot in Elk Grove and I've survived. I have to make a month full of Dr. appts between myself, my parents and my kids. Then I wonder why I haven't been knitting.
Oh, well. Things can only get better.

Stern Grove

If you live around San Francisco you've probably heard about the Stern Grove concerts. Rachael(yarn a go go) had pictures from a concert a few weeks ago. There was sun. My momories of Stern Grove have always been cold and foggy. Which is why my kids didn't go to summer camp there. Brian and I went to listen to the Symphony Orchestra. It was a lovely concert. We left early because Brian was freezing. Poor kid.

Tomorrow is the big parade. I will not be out. My parents use to go and watch the parade every year when they were mobile. Everyone stay safe.

Weekend

I'm working this weekend. The weather has been great. Foggy in the morning and then the sun comes out later in the day. I love it. Not to warm, but sun.
Finished a 5 hour baby sweater. Took about a week. I have a friend who can make one in 5 hours. I guess I don't knit that fast. Need to finishe up Brian's sweater.
We had an ok trip up to my parents. I had a migrane on the trip. Not a good way to travel. It wasnt' to hot up there so that helped.

Saturday, June 18, 2005

Saturday

Other then rain on Wednesday which is not normal for us, we have had very nice weather. Also not normal for us. Sunny today. They say it is 69.

Earthquakes and Tsunami's

I live 6 blocks from the Pacific Ocean.
I hear we've had a few earthquakes in California this week. Didn't know about any of them or the Tsunami warning we had on Tuesday.
So I guess I'm not worried. LOL
We have a system im place so we can be warned about these things. Of course the people in power are suppose to know about the warning so they can warn us. System doesn't work if those is power know nothing.
On the knitting front. I am almost finished with the second sleeve of Brian's sweater. I will shorten the first sleeve before I start to put the sweater together.

Wind

So while today looked beautiful on the surface, underneath it was very cold. The wind was like a north wind.
Found the red skein I needed to work on Brian's sweater. So I'm knitting away again. Would be nice if I could get the sweater finished this week. I know I won't but I can wish.

Saturday, June 04, 2005

Summer

Can you guys believe that summer is almost here? San Francisco has had some very nice days out at the beach. I may go for a walk tonight. I've walked from BART to work the past few nights I've worked. It has been that nice in Oakland and Berkeley. Wish it could be like that all the time. Finished my second Clapotis. Working on Brian's sweater. I need to find the red yarn to work on his sweater. Wonder where I left it.

Back to the world of normal

Does anyone know what a normal life is? I'm not sure I do. The one bright spot has been reading everyones blogs. I love to see what people are doing. Next chance I get I should update my list of finished items for 2005. I think I have 8 so far. Some years I knit more then others.
My problem lately has been keeping my yarn and pattern together. I seem to be missing one of these items whenever I sit down to knit.
At work tonight and tomorrow. Hope I have good nights. I'm to tired to deal with problems.
Everyone have a good weekend. Hope you all enjoy the pictures I've posted.

I've finished my second clapotis. It is really a shawl.
One of these days I'll hang around long enough to post pictures.

Wednesday, May 18, 2005

I'm back.

My mother got a great report from her Dr. She still needs to use the walker and she actually doesn't mind. She was exhauted after her appointment so she didn't walk much since Sunday. Hopefully my brother and sister will make her walk once a day.
I'm hoping to get my life back in order. Everyone was very glad to see me back. Still knitting away on my gift Clapotis.

Wednesday, May 11, 2005

On the road again

I go back up to my mother today. Will stay a week. I don't have time to do anything except sleep go to work and knit.
I was home and awake yesterday. The kids were amazed.
I hope to get my mother mobile outside. I have until Monday to accomplish that.
Hope the weather is good.
Thank you for the joke Sandy.

The end is in sight

My mother is home from the hospital.
I am in my own house for a week and then will go back up and spend a week with her.
She is very happy to be back in her own bed. Able to control her own moves and when she wants to do things.
We are all very happy to have her home.
I worked on the second Clapotis while I was with her.
I have 131 stitches on the needles and will do 14 repeats of the straight section. Then I will decide if it is long enough and then start decreasing. I hope to finish it in a week.
No other knitting news.
Did get some nice yarn from Knit Picks. Also the Yarn Harlots book. Read it in one day. I loved it.

Saturday, April 23, 2005

Thank you to everyone

I want to thank everyone who wrote to me. My mother is doing well. She is in rehab having PT and OT every day. Not able to get around without help but she can feed herself and sit in a chair without support.
I will go back up on Monday and stay until Saturday.
My father will be 85 on April 29 and my hubby is 50 April 30.
I've worn my Clapotis and I love it.
It is actually a very small shawl. I already cast on with the left over yarn and will add one more repeat in the increase section so it is a little wider and one more repeat in the middle section so it is longer.
While I will not stop buying Helen's Laces I do feel that the Shimmer is just as soft. We will now see how it looks after a few yarns.

I'm back home

My mother recieved her new hip on April 15. She is doing well considering she is 83, has heart problems, arthritis. She moved to a SNF closer to home today. I came home and am back at work. Her recovery will not be easy, but at least she is given the chance to recover.
Almost finished with my clapotis.

Tuesday, April 12, 2005

Update

My mother's operation will be today. Tuesday April 12 at 3:30pm.

Monday, April 11, 2005

I might be away for awhile

My mother broke her hip yesterday. They will operate today. I will go up tomorrow morning after work and probably stay until Friday.
Have my clopits and Brian's sweater to take with me. So I have lots of knitting to do whenever I get the time.

I wonder how much baseball do they show in the movie?

I'm back.

Tuesday the kids and I went to my mothers. Took her to her Dr's appt. Went for lots of walks. Relaxed.
It was storming on our trip up. Then the rain stopped and the sun came out and got warmer each day.
I knit on Brian's sweater on the way up and back.
My yarn from Knit Picks arrived just before I left. So I was able to finish the Irish Hiking wrist warmers. They are very soft.
I also recieved my Shimmer yarn. Started the Clapotis on size 5 needles. Have about 80 stitches. I can't decide if I like it or not. I'll let it lie for a while and then decide if I want to rip it out or not.
Trip home today was uneventful. Just the way I like it.

Number of Days since I bought yarn

Yeah right. I bought more yarn today. I ordered yarn online on Monday. I don't do very well on a yarn diet. I do have plans for the yarn I bought. I am trying to get thru my 10 items list. I guess I will be sucessfull if I have less of a stash at the end of the year then I started out with.
We will just see what happens. LOL
Of course I didn't make a list of my stash at the beginning of the year. LOL

Clapotis

I started the Clapotis shawl with my cashmere. The cashmere does not wat to be a Clapotis, so I will be frogging that.
I ordered Shimmer yarn from Knit Picks. I've seen pictures of a Clapotis in this yarn and thought it looked nice. So when I recieve the yarn I will start a Clapotis.
Now I have no idea what I should knit. LOL

Monday, March 21, 2005

I thought I would go ahead and update this list

Wear'n of the Green

Today was the St. Patrick's Day Parade in San Francisco
The kids and I went. We had a great time.
The weather was perfect. The sun was out but it wasn't to sunny.
The parade was over around 2pm. That is the earliest I have ever seen it over. They had booths and music down at Civic Center. We did walk around and looked at the booths and listened to the music. A nice way to spend the afternoon. I'm glad we went.
I was able to get tonight off so now I can relax.

Maybe I'm back online

The computer was back home when I woke up today.
Was able to get on and read my mail Yea.
I am knitting the Diagional Multidirectional Scarf out of Lion Brand Magic Stripe I had in my stash. I left the Irish Hiking Scarf at my mother's and will not be able to get it until I go up next week. Oh! Well!
Might finish this scarf in a few days. Doesn't look to bad.
I'm hoping to be able to download the last set of pictures of completed items.
Can't make any promises.

Thursday, March 10, 2005

My computer has died

I have no idea when I will be back online.
So I shall knit while I cannot get online.

Sunday, March 06, 2005

Eight items to go.

I finished a hat using the Lambs Pride yarn I had.
The pattern was on Knit Harlots blog.
I started another one to finish the yarn.
It is a nice pattern.
If I make another hat I'm going to knit it in the round.
I like hats knitted in the round.
The yarn from Knit Picks arrived yesterday.
I started the Irish Hiking Scarf with it on my way to work last night.
This yarn is going to work with the scarf.
It is very nice and soft.
The blue is just the right amount of blue.
I tried to start the Broad Street Mittens for myself using the cashmere in my stash. The cashmere does not want to be Broad Street Mittens.
I will try and make the multidirectional diagonal scarf with it and see what it thinks.
I'll try and wait unitl I have the IHS finished first.

Friday, March 04, 2005

Nine items to go.

I finished my husbands socks.
Now to decide what I want to knit next.
I'll try and get a picture up this weekend.

Knit 10 items from your stash before you buy more yarn.

That is a noble title. Yes, I did sign up to knit 10 items from my stash before I bought more yarn. I broke the rules before I finished signing up. LOl
So my new goal is to knit 10 items from my stash. I do not know if that is my goal for the whole year or just the next 6 months. Let's just see how I handle this.
So I have a list of items to make. Of course I can't think of 10 items right now.
1. Heather's socks (Lion Brand Magic Strip) She is actually knitting these. I am just helping her along the way.
2. Tony's Socks (Retro Rib Socks) I am on the gusset of the second sock.
3. Broad Street Mittens ( Cashmere yarn from School Products yarn shop in NYC. I bought this yarn in 2002)
4. Lynnette's Irish Hiking Scarf (I just ordered the yarn for this. I will start it as soon as the yarn arrives. It has been shipped)
5. Irish HIking Fingerliess Mitts (I have no idea what yarn I will use)
6. Irish Hiking Legging (yarn)?
7. Siobain's Broad Street Mittens ( One mitten already knitted)
8. Broad Street Mittens for Heather (The same Magic Strip yarn as for her socks. I have the yarn in my stash
9. Brian's Sweater (The flame sweater from Stitch'n Bitch Nation. I need to buy the 7 skeins of black yarn.
10. A hat out of the Lambs Pride Superwash sitting on my bookcase. Probably for Brian.
There that seems like a doable list.
Items I knit for 2005
1. Tony's Irish Hiknig Scarf
2. 4 Cotton Squares for blanket( I of course did not take a picture of the squares.
I wonder how long will it take me to knit everything on this list. I do find new things to knit every day.

Still knitting on my hubbys socks. I sure hope I finish them this week. I am bored with them.
Ordered yarn from Knitpicks to make another Irish Hiking Scarf. It is called Elegance it is an Alpaca/?Silk blend. I hope it is soft. I am into soft.

Travel

Travel in California this weekend has been an adventure.
Fiona went down to Santa Barbara on Friday. She left the house here about 6am and I think she made it there about 10pm. I dont' think they bothered to tell the drivers of the Amtrak bus that there is no direct way to get to Santa Barbara from Bakersfield. The same think coming back. Fiona said both drivers tried to get thru and then had to back tack down to Los Angeles. Of course the fact that there are no train track thru Santa Barbara didnt' help her travel woes either.
So now Fiona is going to Sacramento. Luckly my brother lives by there so he will pick her up and take her home so she can sleep in a bed instead of a bench in the Amtrak station.
Our train from Sacramento to the Bay Area was delayed to wait for people coming from Aburn. I guess they had an interesting trip because of all the snow.
If I'm not mistaken there were at least 3 tornado's in California this weekend and countless funnel clouds.
Glad I didnt' get suck in most of the traffic and weather problems of our weekend.

No rest for the wicked. LOL

I had a root canal on Thursday. While I am not in pain, I do hurt. It is just a dull ache. Makes it hard to concentrate on things. I hope it goes away soon.
I also hope to never have another root canal again. Right now I feel like I am personally paying for my dentist vacation. Good think I have insurance. I have a 2 week reprive before he finishs up the tooth. I hope to be back on solid food by then.
Everyone have a great weekend. I'm at work.

Where does the time go?

I've been so busy.
The last post didn't post, it is in my history.
Wonder when it will show up.
Spring is here.
We've had a little rain, not much.
Nice sunny days with a little wind. Not to cold.
No fog.

Where did my life go?

I've been so busy I don't have the time to think.
Went up to Elk Grove on Wednesday it took my 7 hours to get there and 7 hours to get home. I was past the point of exhaustion. I'm going to try Greyhound the next time I go up.
Not much on the knitting front. I am cleaning up the spot beside my seat in the living room. I have a new lamp and want to be able to use it.
Can't wait to be able to sit and relax in the living room and see what I'm knitting and reading.
Hope everyone's week goes well. Our weather has been beautiful. The rain never showed up. Gets cold at night but you can go out with just a light sweater during the day.

Knitting-Rain-Exhaustion

I'm trying to knit 10 items from my stash before I go out and buy new yarn.
Stitches West is in less than a month. I don't think I'm going to make it. LOL
I actually thought I would concentrate on getting knitting gifts at Stitches this year. I join exchanges and always have a hard time deciding what I should buy to put into the package. My kids say they want to go with me. Actually the girls say they want to go. My son will be coming without a choice. Poor kid.
Rain is back. Hopefully it won't last to long.
It is the weekend. I would like to be able to get out without getting soaked. I'm not a fan of hot and sweaty raincoats.
As always I am exhausted. Wonder if I'll feel better when it is time to go back to work. I doubt it. LOL

Tuesday, January 25, 2005

I am so exhausted

I worked Fri/Sat night. The kids met me and we went up to my parents. Should have been there by 12-12:30 at the latest, instead we didnt' get there until 1:30. Took just as long getting home. None of us could get up this morning. If it is like this everytime I go up i will be traveling 12 hours a day. The only good thing is most of the time I will be by myself so hopefully I can catch a nap. Then once the house is unpacked we won't have to be doing so much work at the house. So maybe we can relax a bit.
I feel like such a complainer. I just can't stop complaining. Hopefully I'll stop soon.
I did get a little knitting done on my way home. Only because I made myself. I guess I'm just stressed out.

Wednesday

I think my brother may have the house empty on time. I had my doubts before, but now it looks good. Everything upstairs is out of the closets and will probably be packed up today. Yea. Tomorrow my brother is coming by to pick up the TV's. I'll probably go there today and then not until next Tuesday, Wednesday. The upstairs should be empty at that point. Then it is the garage, my brothers room and hall closet. Should take a week to get that empty out.
So there is an end in sight.
Of course it will take all year to put all the stuff into the new house.
Hopefully we can throw away a lot more while we are unpacking.

I have my spot in heaven

It took us 5 1/2 hours to get to my mother's house on Sunday. I was exhausted. Brian slept for 2 hours after we got there and then went to sleep on Sunday night without complaint. The trip home took 4 hours. The difference in weekday schedule and Weekend Schdule on public transportation. We'll do it again next week and then I'll go up once a week during the day.
It was very nice up there, just cold. We don't get that cold in the city. Even though my house is always cold.
There is so much packing to do at the old house and unpacking at my parents house. Can't find anything. Oh well. Could be worse.

Saturday, January 15, 2005

Saturday

Well we've had a few days of no rain. Some sun, cold.
I've had fun putting up my pictures.
Will be busy today. Need to go and pack more of my parents house. Tomorrow Brian and I will go up to the new house. A 5 hour trip on public transportation.
Hope I can get some knitting done.

The move is over

The major part of the move is over.
My parents and brother and sister and 2 of my kids are in Elk Grove. Except it took so long to load up the truck, the move did go smoothly. I'll go over to the old house tomorrow to pack up the rest of the kitchen.
Hope they are having fun.

Monday

Day before moving day for my brother and parents. My son wanted to take today off from school to help pack. I think I'll keep him out tomorrow so they don't leave while he is in school. I'm hoping to get next Sunday and Monday night off so he and I can go up and spend time with my parents.
This will be both exciting and sad. My girls will go up with my parents and cat. They have no return date. I'm sure once the big stuff is unpacked my parents will start to settle in. My brother is off the rest of the month so at least he will be there. My sister is picking up a car for the next week, so she will be mobile up there to get things done.
Hope we are all able to stay calm.

Thursday

We packed for 4 hours yesterday. The one good thing with all of us doing it, we were able to take breaks and there was still someone to get the work done.
Wish they could act the same way here at home.
My mother is so happy that we are there to do the work.
My brother was able to go to the house with a full truck.
Very little rain so far.
Wonder how long before this big storm hits. Nice to see the sun.
I dont' need it to be warm. I just need the sun.
Not much knitting getting done. Should try and do a little today.

It's raining again

I am not going to look and see how many days of rain we've had in the past two weeks. I do not want to get depressed.
Just saying it is raining again. At least we had almost 2 days without rain. I should focus on that.
Of course I was hoping to take some pictures of my finished knitted items.
Today I need to get the tree out. Some wash done a little tiding up around here and then over to my parents to pack the house up.
Just a fun filled day.
Hope I can get some knitting done tonight.

Jan 3, 2005

I think I got the year right on all the charts last night.
It is official. My parents and brother move on Saturday.
So this week will be a whirl wind of activity. Packing everything will not be easy.
