I bought the basket on the Biglow site. It was one of their after Christmas sales. Can't wait until next Christmas to use the teapot. The Eggnog tea is great. I will have to order some for gifts next Christmas. The ginger tea is also nice. It is a better then cutting up ginger to make a tea.

Knitting 2007

I finished my January Sock of the Month
I used Opal yarn that I recieved in a yarn swap on TownsendKal on Opal.
Franny sent me this absoulty beautiful yarn.
I used the Basketweave Ribbing Socks from Stitches of Violet.
The pattern is not complete on her blog, but it is easy enough to figure out to knit it correctly.
I love the socks and will be wearing them to work tonight.
I hope to start on my Clapotis using the Malibrigo yarn. I ripped out the Clapotis I knit with it last year. I will now alternate the 2 skeins.
It ends up being a stole and should look beautiful.

100 miles by April 1st.

I signed up to do the 100 miles by April 1st Challenge. I'm not sure if I will make it but I will do my best. Right now I can walk one mile a day and still function. At the end of the month I will try to increase my walk to 1 1/4 miles a day. I know slow and steady wins the race, but I just don't know how much my knees and other joints can handle. I did order a new pedometer. Now for the weather to warm up a bit so I don't end up freezing on my walk.
5 days in January and I've walked 5 miles. Not bad for a sore middle aged women.
