I"m knitting again

I'm not knitting much but I do have a new pair of socks on my needles and I've been working on my Cap Shawl.
I've been able to go to work, be friendly and sometimes be very quiet. It is funny but I find that I'm missing my Mother when I'm at work in the middle of the night. I could not talk to my mother when I was at work so it is strange.
I'm up with my Father right now. We are all doing well. We just take it easy.
Try not to make stupid comments to people you don't know.
Take a deep breath when strangers do things that anoy you. They don't know how you feel so don't take it personally.
I think that is my new mantra of sorts.
Still want to write more about my mother I just haven't been able to put pen to paper as she use to say.

Thank You

Thank you everyone for their messages, emails and phone calls.
I still cannot believe my mother is no longer here. I expect to be able to pick her up and take her home.
It is very sad to see my Father look so lost.
We are doing well considering hopefully we will continue to do well.

We will all miss the best Mother in the World very much.

The best Mother on earth

On May 26 , 2008 my Mother died.
I am so very sad. It was the right time for her and we were lucky to be able to spend the weekend with her. We all had the chance to tell her that we loved her and would miss her and would take care of everyone.
Her memorial service is Wednesday May 28 at 2 pm. Think of our family

Knitting

I just can't seem to knit right now. I'm not sure if it is because I felt awful last week with our heat wave or because I am just supper supper tired.
I really would like to finish the cap shawl. It looks nice even though I don't have much finished on it yet. I would like to see how the next section will look.

New Computer

I'm doing a happy dance.
My new computer arrived today.
Yea, freedom from the old old computer.

New Computer

I ordered my computer on Monday. I just tracked it. It left San Diego today. Wonder how long will it take to get here? I hope it arrives on Friday. I'm off this weekend. It would be great to have a whole weekend to play with it.

The Cap Shawl

I'm making the Cap Shawl from Victorian Lace today.
It is a lovely pattern. I'm on row 48 of a million rows.
Looking at it on the needles I can't decide if I like it or not.
I'll try and take a picture tomorrow and then decide if I should rip back to the beginning and start all over again.

Progress

I finished my Jacobean socks in April. I have a picture up on my flickr page. I'll try and post a picture here eventually.
Now I'm back working on my Cap Shawl. Would be nice if I could get some work done on it this week.

I'm been trying to post my photos thru my flickr account and it hasn't worked. I have no idea why and it is extremely frustrating.
I'll try and keep up to date on my finished knitting items for 2008. Also need to sit down and write out what I knitted in 2007.

So I do have readers.

I need to post more often. I know that. I spend way to much time on Ravelry.
Had a great time at Stitches West. Still need to take pictures of what I bought.
I finished knitting Tudora from knitty.com. I used some of my Malabrigo. I'm using the rest of my Malabrigo to make Fettching mitts for myself.
They will be so soft.
Not having my own computer does slow down getting my pictures up here.
Hopefully by the summer I'll have my own computer then I can spend even more time ignoring family and paying attention to my online friends. LOL

OK. So I'm still not posting much.
I still need to write out my finished projects for 2007 and start a running total for my projects for 2008. Wonder when I'll get around to do that.
Oh, well. One of these days I'll feel like it.
Good thing there aren't many people out there reading my blog.

My December socks. I finished them on Dec 31st at about 11am. So I can say that I knit a pair of socks each month for a year. I don't think I will try to do something like this ever again.

Happy New Year

I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Not sure how much blogging I will get done this year. It would be nice if I could get more done then 2007.
Last year I knit 12 pairs of socks in 12 months.
This year I hope to knit some lace. Not 12 lace project. Just knit some lace.
I have 2 Pi's that need to be finished. Then I have at least 4 projects worth of laceweight yarn.
So today I cast on for a laceweight Feather and Fan Scarf.
I'm using Knit Picks Shadow.
My goal might be to knit 4 lace projects this year.
We will see what happens.
When I have time I'll update my finished knitted items for 2007.

September socks. Used Knit Picks Elegance. Difficult to knit because of their size. My wrist hurt long before I could finish the sock.

Found the pattern on a blog somewhere. Can't find it now. It is called a Mug and French Press Jacket. The original pattern is knit from the bottom up. I then found a pattern that knit from the top down. I liked the way the top down pattern looked so I used that one.
I knit this and the mitts for a Holiday Exchange at Knit 'n Chat.
This was a fun knit and I think I'm going to knit more mug covers. They will make great gifts.
